Among us: a new game era?

By Mia Scaliter

Video Games became a massive part of a teenager's way of entertainment. Their interest grows more every day because of the technological improvements and the loss of attention from them to traditional board games or sports. Since buying a PlayStation or a complete game set can be expensive, most families choose not to and instead let them play on everyday computers.

My new quarantine favorite computer game is, I think a lot of teens would agree, "among us": a recent well-known global cellphone or computer game. It takes place in a spaceship full of 10 players, in which you either have to finish a list of tasks and discover the "impostor" or kill others before they find out it's you. A game won't take longer than 10 to 15 minutes to be over.

The thing I like the most about this game is the versatility and many forms it can take, and the fact you never get bored of it because of the many scenarios to play it. Furthermore, you can play online with friends or random people and talk all the way through. It's a game in which the drawings are not at all extreme or detailed like we've seen previously on Fortnite or GTA, but instead, simple and funny.

I encourage you all to try it out, tell your friends about it so you can have fun, distract yourselves from the outside situation, get a chance to interact with someone instead of just a screen, and enjoy time at home.
